Commercial Drainage

Blocked drains close kitchens and washrooms. We work with businesses that can't afford the downtime — planned maintenance to stop problems happening, and priority response for when they do.

Downtime Is the Real Cost

For a homeowner a blocked drain is unpleasant. For a business it's a closed kitchen, an out-of-order washroom, a health inspection you'd rather not have, and a queue of complaints. The invoice for the clearance is rarely the expensive part.

That changes how the work should be organised. Commercial drainage is mostly about not having the emergency in the first place — knowing which runs cause trouble, servicing them on a schedule, and having someone who can attend fast on the occasions when something does go wrong.

Who We Work With

Sectors We Cover

Pubs, restaurants & kitchens

Grease is relentless in a commercial kitchen. Scheduled jetting on the waste run costs a fraction of an emergency call-out mid-service — and keeps you out of an argument about a fat-related discharge.

Care homes

Wipes and continence products are the usual culprit, and residents can't simply be told to use a different bathroom. Fast response and discreet working matter as much as the drainage.

Letting agents & landlords

Multiple properties, tenant access to coordinate and someone else authorising the spend. We arrange access, invoice the agent, and send photos and reports so the decision-maker can see what we saw.

Schools & nurseries

Work planned around term dates and out of hours where needed, with DBS-checked engineers on site.

Facilities management

You need a contractor who turns up when they say, documents the work, and gives you something to put in the file. Paperwork is part of the job, not an afterthought.

Retail, leisure & offices

Car park drainage, roof drainage, washrooms and yard gullies — the things nobody thinks about until they flood.

How Contracts Work

Planned Maintenance vs Call-Out

Most commercial customers end up with a mix of the two.

Planned maintenance

  • Scheduled jetting on known problem runs
  • Frequency set by what your system actually needs
  • Periodic CCTV to catch deterioration early
  • Reports for your compliance file after every visit
  • Budgeted cost rather than unpredictable emergencies

Priority call-out

  • 24/7 line, answered by a person
  • Contract customers attended first
  • Agreed response times
  • Account billing rather than card on the day
  • Named contact who knows your site

Paperwork included

  • Insurance certificates and registration numbers
  • Waste transfer documentation
  • RAMS supplied before attendance
  • Photo and CCTV evidence of work done

Build note — delete before launch. Response times, DBS status and out-of-hours availability are all promises. Confirm each with Sam and cut anything the business cannot reliably deliver — a commercial client will hold you to what this page says.

FAQs

Common Questions

Do you offer drainage maintenance contracts?

Yes. Scheduled jetting and periodic CCTV on the runs that actually cause you trouble, with reports after each visit for your compliance file. Frequency is set by what the system needs rather than a standard package.

How quickly do you respond to commercial emergencies?

Contract customers are prioritised and we agree response times as part of the contract. The line is answered 24 hours a day by a person rather than a voicemail.

Can you invoice on account?

Yes. Commercial customers are set up on account terms rather than paying on the day, and we can work to your purchase order process.

Do you supply RAMS and insurance documentation?

Yes, and we can send them before attending so your onboarding is not holding up the work. Registration numbers and certificates are all available on request.

Do you work outside business hours?

Yes. For schools, restaurants and retail, working out of hours is often the only sensible option and we plan for it rather than treating it as an exception.

What if the drain turns out to be the water company's responsibility?

We will tell you. Shared sewers and lateral drains beyond your boundary are generally the water company's to fix, and we would rather point you to a free repair than invoice you for one.
